The Hearns/Curry Cemetery is a small, family cemetery located just north of the Rose Hill Cemetery in the area of Milton. The burial ground was used between c. 1920s and the 1950s (when the family sold the land). There are several house ruins located near to the cemetery where members of the Curry family once lived. The cemetery contains ten burials most of which do not contain legible inscriptions. On-going oral interviews with descendants, such as Mr. Billie Hearns, are providing information on the individuals buried in this cemetery.

Mr. Hearns lives about a mile away from the cemetery, but after his grandmother sold the land containing the cemetery (back in the 1960s) he ceased visiting the cemetery. Fortunately, a concerned landowner followed up on stories that mentioned the presence of an historic cemetery on her land. In 2003, Dr Rainville accompanied Mr. Hearns to try to locate the old cemetery. Neither the current landowner nor Mr. Hearns knew exactly where it was. As we were about to give up (after more than an hour of searching through poison ivy laden woods), the setting sun illuminated one of the gravestones and caught our eye. Mr. Hearns remembered carrying his infant sister to her grave in the 1930s. She may lie buried under one of the metal markers that has long since lost the slip of paper that once labelled each grave.
