Select one or more photos from Holsinger collection that you find interesting and be prepared to discuss what the photograph suggests about black life in early 20th cent. Charlottesville, what kinds of questions we might ask about this photograph and its subject(s), how a website built around the selected photograph(s) might look, and what kinds of sources might be used in support of such a site.--Workshop on scanning and the use of images.
