Bermuda Hundred Today

The principal port for the Upper James River Customs District, which included Richmond and Petersburg, saw the arrival of thousands of Africans during the eighteenth century. Today, there is nothing at the site that indicates its significance in the history of slavery in Virginia

There is no mention of slavery on its inscription.
