Interview with Samuel Tucker
|
|
Samuel Tucker argued that the hearings of the investigatory committee on the activities
of the NAACP harrassed the organization and frightened potential black plaintiffs in
future school desegregation cases. Tucker was referring to the committee headed by
Delegate James Thomson, Alexandria, charged with gathering testimony on the NAACP and
suggested that only the blind would not be able to see the committees actions as a plain
attempt to disrupt the organization and prevent school integration.
