Interview with Governor Almond About School Closings
|
|
Almond told reporters that he was very concerned about the "loss of social activities in
the school...with reference to their athletic programs." Almond also said he and others
worked "long hours" to create a plan to reopen public schools in "Norfolk, \,
Arlington, Charlottesville - Arlington not as pressing as the others." In regard to
announcing specifics about a plan to reopen public schools, Almond did not comment. Doing
so, he believed, would jeopardize the plan.
