Lyndon Baines Johnson in Culpeper
|
|
Vice-presidential candidate Lyndon Johnson used the rear of a railroad car as his platform to speak to an audience of eager
onlookers at a Culpeper train depot. Johnson
told the audience that the Democratic Party was not a party of bigotry. Rather, the
Democratic Party stood for "equality before the law" regardless of race, religion, or
region of the country. (WEBJ listed this film's date as 1958)
