My Dear Daughter-

Your lovely letter recieved. I am glad you keep well are you getting along all ok I hope so you must look on the bright side dont worry about home & mother because I have something to eat and shelter and a dollar now and then and will send you one also If you need enything that is necessary let me know I will do all I can for you always let mother know in time I am sorry I could not send you a nice box for Thg but, I wanted to send

a cake Aunt Joe promise to send butter but she was sick I tried to get some here but could not as butter is very scarce now but I have engage mine for Xmas. is Alta coming home Xmas Mother will sure send you a nice box xmas Lord willing. I had a letter from R yesterday he had been suffering with ear ache but better after a slight operation I hope you got your gaiters are ok. I sent them Monday A.M. oh I certainly did Laugh when I read your letter about Rev. Crosby I havn't heard from him since August if I

am going to marry him I dont know it as yet now listen I have another boarder the teacher Miss Annie Dickey she's been staying at Mrs Smith but she said it was so lonesome & no young people called & she was so home sick she just could not stay she beg me so hard I just couldn't say no. she pay Mrs Smith $14.00 but say she will pay eny price I say if I only let her stay she just came in to night I mean after School old Father did not want her to come here so I just took her anyway

Helen doing fine in school. Aunt Joe send love. Rev Berkly will preach for use Sunday you know he preach last year from Rev Green home love to Alta Yes Mr Trry told the children he heard from you. I havnt killed hog yet he is a beauty tho well it is 11.30 so I must go in to bed good night God bless you
