Dearest

Wont you forgive & for get about last night Thursday because I didn't get up there I played on of the greatest game of my Career Thursday evening altho I cut my tungue very badly and it hurt me very badly last night I came home and tried to eat supper then I came up to the station to get the train I missed the 9,07 and the next train left at 10.06 so I couldn't come up because it would have been entirely too late, and you had gone I know

I receved your card to day it was very nice. If you are angry I wont come up until you are pleased. And it will be a long time before I see you again. You know I wonted to come up there awfully bad. But it was in vain I'll see you
