Dear May,

your letter was receved a few days ago, and indeed dear I was very glad to hear from you. Your letter made me feel as if you were near me. I to hope that you will receive you diploma on the 11th but I'll be disappointed if I am not there on that nite with you. Is it possible for me to come down during your graduation exercises? To night I bought the song which you was telling me about. "Do you Rember." and two others "Shake that thing," "To many parties" I am going to a big dance to night.

It has been raining very hard Sweet heart I didn't work to-day as I fought in the Amateur bout the 22nd and I am just feeling it to-day. Here is a few news paper clipping from concerning of the fights I have a broken finger that why I lost the fight to Kole it was a terriable fight dear and it requred an extra roud to see who would win that was the round I broke my finger the crowd gave me a rousing reception. Although you only was on my mind and I knew if I had of won both fights dear you would be happy. I went to a dance Monday night afterwards, and I had to drink a pint of wine for two hours I didn't know where I was. All the boys was with me.

If you had been here so that I could had some one to tell how I was feeling and some one to put my arms around and tell them how much I love them and that one is you. But in vain you were was so far from me dear but in my mind you were near.

It seems as if we will never see each other it hurts me to have to live without you in my present but some day I hope we will be to-gether always, please send me these clipping back as I always put them in a scrap book as when our children grow up they can read about dady ha ha
