Dear May,

Your letter was recevid and I was very glad to hear from you, And I alway had patience with your letter unless it was when I was in a hurry. I have never found any faults with your letters, only when you write me things, which you think are true. Yes, you are right the more I tries to do or say to make you happy the least you think of me. Kind word does not alway turn away wrath, espically when there are some guilty Conscious behind them. Ha! Ha. Why talk of what happen long age Sweet heart you know why I didn't write you, I promise you before you left, N.J. That we would not quarrel in our letters didn't I? Don't get disgusted too quick, as you know how we write each

Yes, I know that you can get Independent what ever a person wonts to do he can do it. Fate has not been so Cruel to me in one way but in another he it has.

There will never be a time when you shall lose hope in me unless- Oh! Well as long as we are true to each other we will be happy. You must remember dear that we all have difficulties at times. It seems like years since I last saw your face, if only you would send me your photo or snapshot so that I could get a view of you then I could sit and dream of the time when you and I were to-gether.

Will there ever be a time when you and I will be as we once have been on Sunday nights and at other times. I can still remember my last night with you when you lost the glove

some times you will recevie a letter from my mother she may say a few things which you might believe, but don't believe them. Because I don't stay home all the time she said that was going to write to you and tell you different things. I am not shure she'll do it but she fools me at times. Be sweet little girl until we meet, some day
