March, 18, 1925

Dear May,

your letter was recevid a few day ago and indeed I was glad to hear from you. I hope you pass all of your exams I am taking and exam next month, given by the State and I hope that I'll pass my six subjects. Saturday night I am fighting in the State tomorrow in Newark. Sat, March 21/25 I was KO in first fight. I am sending you on of my photoes in my fighting pose this fellow is the State Champion 160 lbs. He also attends the same School that I does. The other photoes I am going to keep until you send me yours.

you want to pray for me Saturday night along 10'oclock that I may win. you are right you never answer my question but I hope that you will some day before long. We are playing in Elizabeth, not in Plainfield. I wasnt in Plainfield since you were there isn't thing up there for me. Having said all that has been remembered, I saw you your friend Saturday night at the Oriental Tea Garden in Elizabeth we were talking of you. No, I am not running wild but has just lost Control
