April 13, 1921

My Dear Daughter.-

mother recieved your nice long letter this morning and am ans it while I am waiting for the members to come to the Lodge we meet at night now your letter found us well. You are doing fine in your studies I am so glad the Rev D.A. Jackson was carried away with the thought of me having both of you in School and they that is he and Willie want Benny to enter seminary this fall but I dont know and yet I want him to go. I had a

letter from Miss Dickey today also and she is lonesome for me she say and my cooking say she dont eat enything at home. she want me to send her some ?rusk? I had to Laugh. Well the members have commence to Come I stop it is 11 oclock now all gone so I'll commence my letter again Cousin Fannie with Wm H and others well I sent for your shoes I guess they will be here this wk I had them come here first as I sent to a new firm and I wanted to see them and I will send you hat when I send shoes I will lend you a shirt also

I heard from Roger Friday he remembered & wrote me on my birth day which was last Thursday the 7. I forgot it as usual. R never forget it seem. Mrs Thomas is still sick she have a boil or something on her shoulder and Dr lanced it and now it runs just mucus or matter all time I do beleive it is dangerous but dont mention it and poor Henretta has ?Lubuc? and I dont believe she will last long and she been sick over 2 months & Dr Early did not tell them the trouble as Hoarce changed Dr & got Dr Harris & he told them and yet I dont think she realize her condition poor child I feel so sorry for her & the

little children & Hoarce. but God knows best. Benny send love he is getting ready for bed now. say yes he certainly would like to see a game there. I would too I guess R is sick over Hampton losing in Dabali & Ball game two Beatrice will soon be coming home that School close on the 6 of May Fannie said I thot perhaps you all would come together. I will certainly be glad when time comes for you to come home I want to see you much Pauline is coming first of June to work for Mrs Loyd I hear Margret Isnt there enymore

she had to show out oh she have a terriable name such a pity her Father is right sick two. I have 21 little chick & 3 hens sitting pig & old big hog all ok. Czar fat & lazy Cat big tame & a good mouser now I think I must close for I must write Miss D. I guess I have to write Nora also. I have planted my Pottatoes but it turn so cold here Sunday look like we would freeze it snowed on the mts Mrs & Mr H Mr & Mrs Guirly L. M Miss Ella H.G.
