Mar 30, 1921

My Dear Daughter.

I reieved your letter today I did not write your before because I was waiting to hear from you. I was so afraid you shoes did not get there in time I was worried but I am so relieve so glad that you did not get dissapointed was the shoes nice? I am glad you had such a pleasant Easter it was a charming Day all that could be ask we were out to church without wraps so very warm Cousin Fannie & them in white. and Lo & behold yesterday and to day big frost so cold Ice on ?tubs? I think all fruit killed because all the fruit trees was in full bloom. we had concert it rained right much afternoon & early eve but in all we made about $23.00 very little expense. Now Miss Dickey was sick for Easter taken sick Thursday & in bed rest of time took cold pane in stomach and just want me by her all the time but she is nice so I just [missing text] on her all the time. she was able to go in School on Tues. school did not start till then and then what do you think to day Mr Terry recieved notice to close school tomorrow 31 and they thot it would run untill 10 or 11 of Apr. so they will be leaving on Monday. Now listen Willie and another minister will

be here sat and will preach here Sunday & Sunday night going back Monday. Rev D.A. Jackson is the one he is bringing and ask to stay here I wish you was home. Miss Dickey knows him. he is in Seminary too so you see I'll have my hands full but I have cleaned the front room I house cleand beat carpet & all and also wacked so you see I am fairly straight Cousin Linda is poorly & Henretta keep feeble but better then she was oh you ask about Margaret C. she is home I mean working but the child is so bad from what I can hear there is nothing to tell such a pity and a nice looking girl well I have 13 little chicks & 2 hens setting pig & red hog Czar kitty and all ok. I hand planted my thing yet two cold. Miss Dickey say she will be leaving but she will come back when you come because she wants to see you. Now May I know you will be shocked to know last Friday Isa Cary's body was brought home for burial Townsend sister died in child birth Townsend her Husband Virgil Cary Gussie & Helen Cary came with body it was sad nice large funeral Beautiful flower's Georgie will keep the baby I think I mean the first baby the other died. all ask after you I think ?Lowns? will stay home they will build soon I think. Nora is so sorry to go home. Benny send love Now this a long letter if I get eny money I and going to order you a pair of ties broad like those you had last winter home & have them sent from National now I must close good night-God bless you. I have not heard from R this wk as yet
