Your loving little note was rec'd a few days ago and I must say I was indeed glad to hear from you
Oh we are having some time down here in old Esmont. I am all dead in love with Shafter Copeland, the honorable, and I would

fall in love with Mr. A.T if he wasn't married, ha! ha! ha!
Shafter is about three heads taller than I am but of course I can't help that.
Now I was awful glad that you enjoyed the candy. Really I am, may be I will send you another bow in the near future.
My friend came down as he said and really Mrs. Yancey is the dearest, I just love her She fixed him a box to -carry

back with him and she also sent Mr. Scott one and Tuesday both of us sent both of these men boxes of candy. Now is it she
the sweetest. I must say I really love your mother and of course I bug her but you must not get jealous, but really I cant help from loving her. She has been just like a mother to- me and oh she can give such good advice. She is fine

I told her last night that I would give her two weeks to -rest after school closes before I would be back.
Nora is going home this evening so I shall be lonesome sleeping by myself.
