Dearest Friend

Your very sweet letter was received some time ago and I did intend to answer it before now, but have been so very busy, for the people I work for this day was sick; so you see I have been quite busy.

Enclosed you will find one of my pictures, its not so very good, but it will serve for the present,

No May, Dearest, I am not nearly Married. I hope not for some time as yet.

I am glad Roger is still in Hampton's High school or college. Which ever it is.

I think as far as I know I am going home this summer, Hope to meet you then; Write me very soon may, as I am anxious to hear from you.

We have lots of things to talk about when we come together.

How is your mother?

Indeed every one gets blue some times. I have lots of friends at school and several away, so I have very many letters to write

(page 2)

Dont forget to send me your picture and Rogers

Give my love to Alta and your brother when you write, tell Alta. I said Hello and is she still taking music lessons, and that I will sing for her if she still plays.

I am going to write to Beatrice today also, I know she will be very suprised to hear from me.

I do not care so very much for Kentucky but as circumstances dont allow me to go else where I have to be contented here

There is not much news here, any way. I thought you were going to Petersburg, Va but am very glad you are there.

Indeed I am glad I am out of School I tell you later. Hope we may have a fine time this summer if nothing happens.

I haven't heard from Helen since Xmas now Selina; Selina Has little girls named "Dorothy Mary Kenetta" you know she has been married over a year now.

I am having my teeth fixed. Will write more next time,
