My dearest daughter

Your letter received I guess mine passed yours. glad as usual to hear frm you glad you got the porch & out house covered. have Maryland lay the plank when was in house & under porch so you can put your wood in untill after Christmas. Lord willing I will have

floor put in well the time is certainly drawing near sure will be tickle to see you and Cousin Fannie. Better leave the key with Mary I guess. and have things fasten up. dont get any big room slippers I forgot to tell you oh we had nice time at Pearls to dinner yes indeed Virginia will be married Christmas

Pearl did or don't want her to marry now but nothing doing so thats that I am giving Virginia a handkerchief & 2 nice linen towels of Mary and Miss Sophia feel badly but I do hope his early marriage will not be like her mothers for I do hate to see young people make a mistake well I guess your belovd is all ok havn't
