My dearest daughter.

I am a little late writing but just could not write when night come we had a spell of Company last wk. and they on the last one left this A.M. I am well but sleepy and tired am going to turn in early tonight Clinton is back his mother is a little better just regain consciousness last wed and all of the children went home. so it was a pleasure for her to see them all there. well I hope you are ok. so nice is Miss Ella and them to come & sit with you now listen I would be

afraid for you to handle that automatic revolver you write to Mrs Harris and ask Mr H. to send the Revolver of Bennies as I dont know their address in the mean time trust the Lord. And all will be right but besure to write the Harrises to send the revolver love to the children hope you got the things all ok. I sent the stars and Paste board under sepeate cover from box I hope you got stove all ok. be very careful of it. it has been quite warm and is raining tonight revival start at Calvary this week it is from one thing to another I was at church last night saw May Pearl & Virginia all send

Wm. was in Plainfield yesterday stop by Spooner it was my day on but he called me up had a little chat he said his cold was better it was near supper time so I could talk long. where will Virginia marry. Pearl is feeling better now still going as usual Edward send love & many others ask after you. heat some Vick salve & inhale it at night thru mouth & nose. does the medicine help let me know so I can send more have you tried pinex sorry you could not see Dr. Now I am sending you the list as I sent Mrs Jones for Grocerers for you so you will keep food in the house. I shall or can't you see Mr Smith at church & ask him to cut you a cord of wood

much I hope she is'nt sick I suppose Archie feel quite proud being a father did you give him the 50ยข I owed him? if not I'll send it Christmas is nearly here & I've done nothing I fell down on my xmas savings sorry but only got in $13,00 and it has closed. ok Roger was over Sat night I did not let him see letter but he will have to come across soon surely.
