Dearest Mae,

Of course I shall excuse you for waiting so long to write altho I did begin to think that you had forgot all about me. I was so happy to get your sweet, interesting letter the other morning and I could hardly

(page 2)

take time to open it. I knew that your time was well occupied, but, still I couldn't see why Mae didn't write me. Anyway, I've excused you and forgiven you.

It is so nice that you are in your own home. Who is staying with you?

I know you were more than happy

(page 3)

to have your beloved down with you for those few hours, for few, I'm sure the hrs. must have seemed as they always fly faster when we are with someone whom we want to be with or whom we love. I imagine that day was a day filled with joys for you. I am so glad, Mae, that you are

enjoying your new life. Do hope and pray that it will always be so and I'm quite sure it will if each does his own part in trying to make it so. I shall certainly do my part in praying for a life of happiness for you both.

Dear, I am more anxious now than

(page 5)

ever before, to marry, just since I was told the news. I, too, shall be glad when we tie the knot then we can be real Buddies, can't we, Mae? I am very anxious to see you and hear the many nice things you have to tell me. I am going to try hard to see you at Xmas time. Do hope I shall

(page 6)

be able to come go to Jersey. I guess you know that Roger and I are planning a secret affair too. Do you not? At first we thought of Xmas, then we thought that would be too much of a rush, so, Roger says wait until sometime in the spring so then I agreed. Please don't mention it to anyone. I am telling just

(page 7)

one of my sisters, my favorite one, and my mother and Dad. How do you think that will be? I just know it's hard to be away from each other after the knot has been tied. I imagine I'll be a pain too, ha! ha! For sometimes now I feel like I can't stand to be away from Roger any longer.

Do hope

(page 8)

that Wm is okey by now and do hope that your cold is well. Be sure and take good care of yourself.

I, too, hope that it won't be long before I shall be able to visit your home as I'm very anxious to.

What are you doing Thanksgiving? I shall be working hard I guess glad you are getting on fine with your school work. Please write me soon.

Always lovingly
Adele
