Dearest May,

Well- I've tried and tried to make up in my mind to sit down and write but it seemed as if I just couldn't make myself do it.

Your real nice letter was received and enjoyed and I was so glad to hear from you and hear about your Xmas. I know you are wild about your diamond, I know I would be. I am very anxious to see it. Roger gave me a lovely Xmas present, I guess you saw it may be, did you?

(page 2)

I am crazy about it. Your present to William was very nice indeed. That was certainly co-incident, wasn't it? I'm so glad that you spent such a lovely Xmas, just know you hated to go back and get to work. I know it seemed good to be back with William. I was certainly happy to have Roger down with me for if he had not come my Xmas would have been a very unhappy one. Yes, May, I too certainly want to see you. Yes, we four could have had a lovely time together.

(page 3)

I would like to read the write-ups about William. Roger sent me one to read and return, that was very good. He is doing fine isn't he? Tell him to just keep it up.

I saw a wonderful picture on Tuesday night. It was "7th Heaven," and good, it was very good and touching. I wish you could see it.

Well, May, I am supposed to go to Jersey sometime soon to take care of my Sister-in-law's family while she goes to the hospital for an operation. Then I shall see Roger more often for a little while anyway.

(page 4)

The time is certainly flying isn't it? It will soon be time for you to be coming back this way. How long does your school hold? Are you going to be in Plainfield this summer? As for myself I don't know where I shall be. I must go somewhere where I can make some money though. I still have my same work but am still hoping and watching to find something or rather some place better. May, have you often begun you a "hope Chest" as yet? I have. If you have tell me some of the things you have in it so far. They are nice, I think. How was your Mother when you heard from her last?

Love & kisses to you.

Lovingly,
Adele

Please write me real soon
