My dear Mother,
No doubt you think that I have forgotten you, or that I am ill, but such is not the case. This is the time for our monthly
examinations and I find myself very busy at these times.
I sincerely trust that you are well and enjoying life and good health.
Your last letter received and I was more than glad to hear from you. You urged me to pay William the ten dollars I owed you.
The day before, I received an urgent letter from him, also his board and tuition bill. The total amount was $27.50. I sent
(page 2)
him a check for the full amount. So you do not owe him any money on your carfare now. I also finished two other debts.
I still owe a few debts (3) amounting to about $40 and I expect to finish them in the coming two months. Needless to say
that I am "broke." I am going to put $4 in another bank this week on interest. I trust that the Lord will take care of me
until next pay and forever after.
Mr. Frank Wilson, Secretary of the Students Y.M.C.A. visited us last week. His visit was an inspiration. On Saturday night out Y.M.C.A. presented its Annual Stunt Program. I directed it. We made $7.90. It was a Success I am told. On Sunday night I spoke
at Chapel Services. My subject was "Personal Efficiency, Motives, and High Ideals. I have received Many compliments.
Mother, Adele had bobbed her beautiful hair. She sends love to you.- We are having plenty of snow here, It is snowing now.

With love I am Your Son
Roger
