October 19, 1919

My Dear Mother,

I received your letter, and was very glad to hear from you. I am well and very I hope you all are the same. I have seen two football games and Hampton won both we are to play St Paul of Lawrenceville Sat. Mother I need some money by saturday, I want to Join the Y.M.C.A. before Nov. 1

Its only 50 cents now. I haveing been playing in first Band every since I been back

Mother also I need a pair of tan English shoes soon. But dont worry about shoes. You see why I have to get dress shoes because the Shoes that are Issued to me are heavy ones. of cour my other money went in buying Toilet & school supplies.

You send to Miss Mary for money I will pay her next sumer.
