My Dear Mother,
I received your letter and was very glad to hear from you and to know you are well Mother Pauline graduated from Whittier
Training School last Thursday and I made My trade printing I have passed off Arith, English, & phiosology, and I am going to night School 3 night a week to Pass off geography so you see the yancey's are going on any way ha. ha.
Well it is very lonesome here now all Boys and girls has gone except

work year's. Mother I hate to ask you but I have to have a Suit of clothes before July 1st made on Military Style. Major has given permission to wear suits and my coat so long I hate to wear it and oh the Uniforms
are so hot now. Please do not worry but see If you can get one on installment plan and take my war saving stamp and cash
it. You can get suit according to age 18 or 19. military style.
I am glad Benny is working. Yes I think it would be alright for May to go to N.J.

Mother Pauline and I will graduate frome here same year 1923 if nothing happen and then I will be able to help you more
