My Dear Mother-,
I received your letter a few days ago and was glad to hear from you. I am well and truly hope you are the same I had been
sick but not enough to stop work. Had pain in my side. Mother some of the boys or some one took my rubbers the other day and I told major about it and also my arithmetic I brought from home. too bad isn't it.

I am going to get me a pair of working shoes on credit. all I have to do is to get the order for them now when you get able
I wish you would send me another pair of rubbers and I will see that no one take them. Will you thank Mrs Pryor for the dollar
she sent me as I havent the paper to spare now until I get some will you tell me Rev. Green address. well the war is over and that about 3,30 The fire alarm was blown bells ringing and I awoke

and jumped out of bed thought it was a fire the soldiers were marching and singing around. They had a parade in Hampton that
day Langley Field Colored Band- played. 33 aeroplanes in battle formation in the air while about 600 or 700 soldiers besides cars with flags an civilians. Last evening at four oclock British Sailors gave a concert in Ogden Hall. They were from the Battle Ship Cumberland. Some concert some Band.

They played the ?plan? representing the allies. An American soldier Belgian, French, English, Italian. I went to the moving pictures shows in the
Y.M.C.A. I am having my self a time. ha. ha. How is May and Benny. They gave a social here saturday night. I met Miss Southers. Give my love to all: czar
