My dear Harriet
Your letter to day & I was indeed to hear of Mr Yancey Passing away my dear you have my deepest sympathy no matter How often death comes in
the family it is always a stranger for me cannot get use to

death Well dear the Lord only Take his own & when we see our dear ones suffer so & the Lord come & take them out of there pain when there is no more Pain sickness no sorrow or death We ought to Be thankful when thay are gone to Rest which we no It is a big loss you & us

& the whole community but think of it being Heavens great gain We all ought to Rejoice but you are like us all [missing text] is too Mak Well you must tak it in the Best way you can for he is gone to Rest & now you have your children to live for so god- will take care of you
if you will continue to trust in him give my love to the children & write me a long letter when you can & I hope Mae got her Shoes all safe I saw them last week love to my folks when you see them no more
