My dearest mother:

I rec. you most welcome & loving letter thurs. P.M. it found me fine & enjoying the best of health that life can afford.

I was so glad to hear from you & to know you recd my long letter as I had worried very much, did you get the dollar that was in it I thought some one had took the

will have a nice time when we meet if the Lord say so.

Oh! That was so sad of Mr. Hughes & those little children.

Give my love to Bee & all the rest of the girls & tell her Violet I will answer write to her a letter soon.

Give my love to all the people. Look for your dress goods soon.
