April 28, 1920.

My dear Mother,

Your letter was received and very glad to hear from you. I was also very very sorry for Mrs. Harris house and I know you have your hands full now.

Mother time is short here for me now and will be out of school next month and where I want to go I do not

know where I want to go I want to go out of the State to N.J. or Washington with a boy from Washington D.C.

Mother I have only $1 in Treas. and I will have to draw that out tomorrow for Anniversary exercises and if you can send me any for May becaus so much expenses to concerts and Socials. Mother dear I guess you think I am a money ?pheme? of some sort. ha, ha.

It is very rainy here now and Thursday & Friday are

?c? any day and we are expecting Ex president Taft and many other great men. Wish you could be here. We had our exhibit and It was a success.

Hampton played Howard Univ. in Washington D.C. Sat., and lost the game 2 to 1 We will play them here Sat. at 1:45 and Give my love to all of the girls and boys. Please write me and let me know what you plans are please.

You have 7 eating at the table

now. I am in the music class now and I will have to close.

Give my love to May and Benny and Nora and all in the house. Has school closed yet.

P.S. mother I did a Crazy Thing I paid cash for my underwear and could have bought them on my account and that why I need money I wasn't thinking at the time.
