Dear Grandmother;

How are you? I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and happiness. I received your lovely letter, and was very glad to hear from you.

I am sorry to hear that you had a cold but I am also happy to hear that you have recovered from it. It seems that a cold wave has had the entire country, as I heard it to be quite cold in Newark. It is also cold here considering it to be in North Carolina I hope it turns warmer in Esmont quite soon.

School is coming along nicely this semester. A few, ?gatherings? have been happening on the campus. Such as, basket ball games, boxing matches, recitals and concerts.

I heard Dr. Ralph Bunche speak and he was quite interesting. I am doing fine not sick or any worse than last year (smile). I think I am going to summer school this summer.

Take care of yourself and don't work to hard. I hope Ma will be able to visit you this summer. I still remember those pleasant moments we had during the Christmas holidays. I too have been planing to write you ?but? just hadn't got around to it (smile).

Give my love to everyone in Esmont, as I wish everyone loads of happiness and success I too am sorry to hear that Cousin Bee closed her place. Will she re-open
