My dear friend:

I received both of your letters contents noted, Now I am not trying to dispose of the lot at Esmont because I don't know when I might get so I cannot keep at work here and might have to go to the country to live, but if I should decide to sell it be assured I'll give you the first chance.

I hope you and yours have had a fine xmas, and wish for you a prosperous New Year.

I appreciate beyond expression the post card sent me by you.

(page 2)

I had several post cards sent to me by my friends, and am Very much imbareshed to think

I was so taxed I could not get to send any of you a card.

You know I am ?batching? yet and after my day's work. I am too late for the stores

Well I am asking When things go Well with you think of me, With this request I must close.

Hoping to hear from you again soon

I am yours in Christian fellowship
Wm. A. Harris.
