My Dearest Friend

Your sweet letter received found me feeling fine. I am glad you are having a nice time at home, and away. You are due all the good and happiness that can come to you, For you are such a fine person so good in making others happy. I have not had the chance to get away from home this summer my family & relatives have been visiting me week ends- I also had a friend from Va. visit me so have spent a pleasant time enjoying others. The State convention meets here Oct. 10th about 3 days. That of course means work. Lots of sickness & deaths

Lena Davis West 3rd St. also Mr. Parsons of E. 4th St. were burried recently, at the time Mr. ?Yettman? and ?Obsive? (Quarterman) Jones are in the hospital Mr. ?Yettman? is supposed to be operated on this coming Friday will be quiet serious I'm affraid. Yet we are praying he will come thru O.K. Mrs. Jones was operated on last Tuesday doing fine.

Mrs Brown is pretty well has moved in living quarters in the new home! Hope to get her business moved soon. My cousin Dr. Parham, from New Bedford Mass. spent a few days with me. Mrs Brent is back in the hospital after being home for two weeks about the same. Rev & Mrs Harris left to-day for the National Convention in Detroit. Sterling Carey preached a wonderful sermon yesterday after-noon He is wonderful and we do pray Gods blessing on him. He leaves for School Soon. Thelma will

teach in School with her husband this winter, She seems happy. guess that I have told you most of the news. Are you coming back to us this winter? and when? I hope we shall always be friends.

I do appreciate your kind invitation to visit you and hope to visit do that very thing soon. Let me hear from you again soon.
