Sept. 7, 1948

Dear Mrs. Yancey,

Most every day I think about you, and it's been a long time & I'm just answering your letter. Hope this finds you well. The baby & all of us are

fine. We haven't forgotten a picture for you. You know all we do is put off. Mom said we just got to have them made before he is Two. So we'll remember you. Mom has been in Nantucket for a few days. Expect her back this week. I guess she'll give up domestic work now for good, She really is tired of it.

Hope you get this letter O.K. Not sure of your where-abouts.

Well, I have my hands full taking care of Billy & doing my marketing & cooking etc. I don't

dare try to work too. I have a very nice little girl who helps me out a lot with Billy. She takes wonderful care of him. I do hope sometime you'll come up to see him. He really is a hum-dinger. But we enjoy him though.

Best regards,
Mary Louise
