Dearest Mother Yancey-

I guess you thought that I had forgotten to write you- but so many things have happened since I returned here- They brought my husband's body home, and I had to go to Beaufort, South Carolina- No sooner than I returned, Howard

died- suddenly-

I did not know him well, yet it was too bad- for poor Aunt Maggie-

Enclosed is a picture of Rev. Haggard- Thought you would like to see it. Also is a letter from "Tennie" and her husband. She always asks for you- She is Very happy and a Very wonderful girl- She is married to a man just as fine as herself-

How are May, Roger, and their families? Please give them all my love.

How are you getting along Mother Yancey-? Are you Coming this way for Christmas? I would love to see you-

Gene is fine and send love- Have not seen Margaret since I returned
