May 14, 1949

Dear Grandmother;

How are you? I hope this letter finds you happy and in the best of health. I received your lovely letter and was very glad to hear from you. This is just a short note to let you know I am still thinking of you.

The weather here is beautiful. It rained for a few days but since than has clearred off nicely. School is coming along nicely. There are all many things happening and I am so busy that I did want to write you before I left. Exams stat next week so do wish me luck.

Tell everyone I send love but I cannot go into detail. I thought sure that I had sent you your envelope to you but I will look around again. Thank

you, very much for the money as I could use it, but grandmother you don't have to send me something everytime you write I hope your garden turns out alright and if I do get a chance will run down to see you this summer.

I have only 13 more days before I leave and that will fly. Well I guess you I will be closing now, Hoping to see you soon.
