Dear Harriett

I am sorry to not to have written you before but it seem to be so many things to think of & do it is hard to stop & write and we had such a Hot summer and it has been a warm fall. Well I guess you all had nice time at the meetings and plenty of good Eats. & good Preaching. I hope Rev.

Hughs is still carrying on I only wish I could drop in Some Sunday am to the Service. I hope to visit my Cousin for a little vacation next Summer and I do hope to see you all again. I dont Blame the Children raising Pigs means two much work Chickens are easy. I was surprised to hear Cara had gone back to Plainfield I guess you all had a

wonderful time during the Summer and now geting Ready for Thanksgiving I do enjoy the day and the dinner more than any other of the year I always have one or 2 Persons that is alone no family to dine with I hope you will excuse me for being so long in answering your nice letter but you know How it is so much going on all the time I had quite more Company this summer then I ever had 3 of my nephews came up to see us & two had their wives they didnt Come together But they Came and it meant geting meals. I do hope you will come up this way someday I would be so glad to have you I will close now wishing you
