Dear Mrs Yancey,

I really thought you had for gotten me. but I am real glad to hear from you and glad to know that you at least were well and your big family two. I read in the Afro that you had your vacation in Va. and wondered

then what on earth were you doing there at such a time. Gee, I am so sorry about your Madam. Gee I am glad to hear you say you will have your house open in Va. Yes I am planning to go to Richmond around the 5th of august. & will try to see you all if I do. my daddy is well he is still house keeping and is not married as I know of I had a letter from him last week. Aunt Lacy has been to W. Va I heard and that she is back Richmond now with Mary. Leslie is there two with Uncle William. Alice and her hubby is well

And Aunt Mammie is not so well & Rev. Duval is ill don't expect him to make it. We are supposed to go over there Sat. I have company here now from New York City. My husband's Neice, and her husband. they are real nice. please dont take as long to write again and what on earth happened to Cousin Mallie. Love to May Roger Jean & ?familys? excuse pencil & writing. I have a nice husband. and am very happy, I guess smiles.
