My Dearest Mother:

I arrived all safe & sound. Am feeling a little su home sick tho I have taken my medicane Alta has been to see me & I have been to see her I have only three room mates Myself being four you know I am glad & I know these well my class mates, also the ?Cosby? girl was on the train when we got there, to warren I have seen all of my room-

mates but three & they were so glad to see me. Say listen mother I did not have to pay a cent my board is paid yo up for the nine months I am going to send you $5.00 maybe 6.00 but my books will cost quite much so I will have to save back. but mother I don't see how I can get it to you before Sat next wk. As Miss Whiting is so busy but I shall send it you know you dear little daughter wont fail.

I have eaten the last piece of chicken I We did not go to lunch or supper. And I dont think I am going to breakfast. Mother pray for me for without prayers I can not succeed Give my love to every body I miss you all so much. Mother if you can possibly get it from some one get it & I will sure get it to you by Monday or Tuesday but will try hard for sat. Tell B. hello dont worry about me as I
