I bought the material and made the paint myself that is mixed it as it should be, I put on 12 1/2 gal. and if I had bought ready mixed paint it would have cost you $43.75 for paint alone So I was doing the rest for you, trying to make it easy as possible.

I got part of the material from Scottsville and a part from Charlottesville, So I wont mention any thing of the expense for getting material. Every body white and colored Think your house looks butiful I say it myself if I did do the work, but I have never seen a house take as much paint before in my life for the size of it. we are all well at this writing and mary and the kids send love to you. We have started on the choir stand and room for pastor and deacons, Plenty of hot weather no rain, when do you expect to come home?

Well I suppose this will be all at present, much love for Roger and May

Your Cousin
Isaac

$30.00 for work
$5.40 for material
