Mrs. Harriet Yancey
972 Woodland Ave.
Plainfield, N.J.
Dear Mrs. Yancey:

I arrived Richmond at 5:30 Friday evening after leaving Philadelphia 7:30 A.M. I was very, very sorry to leave you Thursday night, sorry, for reason number one is that after coming a distance of 325 miles practically to get a word with you and to be in your presence some, I found that I was dissappointed. I am sorry again because I don't feel that you treated me just right in several ways and in several circumstances, I am sorry also that I could not be in your company long enough for you to understand your wrongs and your mistakes in this instant. Let us hope that you will understand things better especially when it come to such a serious matter as this.

I wish to thank you for the few moments given me and I hope that you arrived home safe and thought over the mistakes made, and will answer this at your earliest convenience. With best wishes for your success and a better understanding by and by, I remain

Respectfully yours,
John A. Hines
