and road on the boat for about two hours & half then we came to Southport and hired a car came from there to our destination Belive me this is a country place right It reminds me of Howardsville Virginia only we have all water in front of us, the scnery is lovey Tho, we or all of us went out on the rocks after dinner today and roamed all thru the [missing text] pines I pick up a lot of beautiful sea shells because the tide was low we are right near the Atlantic ocean to, can see ships coming in at any time. we have to carry our water we don't have any running water and we use lamps like we do when we are home home have a toilet out side as same as home also. So I have to get my self adjusted to the Situation I have many interesting things to tell you when I reached plfd. Mrs. Evans & the family are very nice and believe me all of us have some appetites up here breathing the pure salt or sea water air. The air is wonderful. It was so cold when we reached Bath Maine Until we had to put Sweaters on under our coats & we sat out on the deck all the way as they were showing & telling me
