Sept 4 1908

My Dear Husband,

I am writing you again hope this may find you well this leaves us well except colds the weather so changeable that it keeps every body stop up with fresh cold. Well I am writing you sad news Rev. G.C. Cary died this a.m. will be buried Sunday Andrew Cora & Clara all got here before he died

They take his death hard indeed I went to see him once but he did not notice any body at all but talk with the children Just before he died leave 6 small children & 4 grown ones. it does not seem real only last wk he pass here asking after you and Joking me about I just as well had married a preacher for you was on the go almost as They he never miss

asking about you he belong to the St. Luke. Mrs. Walkers Council. say are you coming up to revival you don't say. Any thing wish you could. but if you are not coming I wish you would send me a half dozen glasses by Susan she is coming up next Sat. it is real cold here at night make me wish for you much. oh say did I tell you that Jim

say they are short of funds & please help them out they are sorely in need he say they know you in time of need. haven't even got Sept Board money. guess there'll be no kindergarten next year about run to seed. This is my second letter did you get other C send love & kisses May say sure be here on her birthday which is last of Oct. They are sleeping like ?hoopers? now. I must join them now as I am tired out.
