October 30, 1910

Dear Mr. Yancey,

Some time ago I written you a letter and having recived anny answer I didnot know weather you recived my letter. I am well and hope this may find you and all of your family Well. I like here very well and I made a class and getting along just fine. My teacher is a widow her name is Mrs. Susie J. Pollard. I like the teachers all. give my best regard to all of my schoolmates. Mr. Yancey how are you getting along in teaching school this year. I was 15 of age th 4 of September. Mr. Yancey you must write me a letter I will be so gald to hear frome you. Miss Sadie Walker and Miss ?Jetta? Cary send love to you and they are getting along just fine give my best regard to Miss Maggie White. Mr. Yancey

I am going to send you something for xmas. I has very nice roommates. I get a letter frome mamma and papa every week and also my two sisters give my best regard to Miss Cary. it is Very Cool here. I hope I will see you in the spring when I come home this Institute is a fine building. I thank you for all of the instruction you have gave me. I will never for get you and your family you must goo over to see mamma some time. the first time I came here I was very homesick. have you very meany scholars this year? I will close.
