Mr. B.F. Yancey,
Dear Sir:-

I received your letter sometime ago but on account of the press of business I have delayed writing until this time. I hope you are getting on very well at this writing. I wrote to Rev. Brown sometime ago but have received no reply from him. I wish you would please ascertain whether he received my letter and express my desire to hear from him.

I am in receipt of a letter dated September 20th from Mrs. Georgia A. Scott. She is entering a protest against your Fold for the acceptance of the membership of Carrie and Gladdys Johnson. I wish you would write me at once all the particulars concerning this that I may be in a position to answer Mrs. Scott's letter intelligently. Remember me to your gfamily.

I remain,

Yours in H. F. & D.,
W.H. James, Jr.
Secretary-Treasurer
