Mr. Yancey:
My dear dear teacher

I guess you will bee a little surprise to hear from me. I am well and getting along nicely in School. hope you and all of your family is Well. I hope you are getting along nicely with your School. Will your School close next month? We are having lovely weather down here. we hade a nice time Wednesday after noon and night celebrated George Washington birthday we hade a con-

cert that night and we hade a nice time. it was a lovely concert and hear is the directress I will send you. hope you will like it. Give my love to all of my Schoolmates and tell them I am getting along nicely and I will bee home in May and hope to see you all. Give my love to Mrs. Yancey and also Miss Cary. I hade a letter from Mamma and papa Saturday. I am just crazy to see mamma and papa and all of my little sisters and brother. the commencement exercises will begin here May 13- We have 600 students here in

School. Papa written to me and told me that he will bee home before I will. hope you all are enjoy happy life is May Bell Thomas going to school? if so give my love to her and tell her to write me. And also tell Miss Maggie White to write me. I hade one lovely letter from her sence I ben here and also give my love to her. I hade a lovely from Mr. Sam Harris my pastor sometime ago. I got a lot of xmas presents. did you get any Valentine

I got 6 Valentine and I got one lovely Valentine from one of the teacher on the hill her name is Miss Edna Colson. I like all of the teachers on the hill. and I think they all like me, but Miss Colson is my favor one. I think she is the sweetest teacher on the hill.
