Dear wife

Both your letter came safe I am glad to hear from you will send basket with what you ?written? for tomorrow.

I could not send it Tuesday as I wanted because the Bar Rooms were close on account of election & I could not get the whiskey Your letters came last night so I can send what you want. I had bought your gown

I suffer with Rheumatism in my ankle can hardly walk first thing of am It is swollen glad the c enjoyed them selves Sunday Much love to you & c. Kisses & hugs Yes I am true true as steel too old to be otherwise
