Dearest Wife

Your letters received found me complaining with a severe cold & La Grippe I have been able to do Very much since Saturday- I am feeling a little better to day- I taken some Calmer Tablets also guinene Whiskey I must to have taken too much Calmer for my mouth ?have? been so sore I can not eat Old teeth & gums have made me almost cry- I start once to come home. Well to day I am feeling so much better- Now I could not get the shoe you want

because it was too heavy for May & the price for shoes is-up-I send this pair. No 12 low cut I hope they may act for Sunday as soon as I get straight I will get all of you a pair of shoes, You need a pair-

I sent a money order Yesterday before I received your letters (either one). So I hope it will help out some will send some more soon Times are yet dull here plenty walking about nothing to do. I am glad you have papers all ok Also glad you entertain Rev. H. I have not seen Susan yet- Have not been visiting any body- I hope you & c are well- I would send basket but I am broke.
