Dear wife
I am working at Lexington. I have a very good job waiting- I wish I had came to R. & not gone by C. I heard that a telegram came that night Wednesday & did not get throug & If I stop over in C. I would get it- Mr. Hudgins telegram not to come until May 1st & bring maid & waiter I got in C. & kept on to R. got 2 places The same night as waiter- had to buy me a low cut Vest & another size jacket-

You see it taken nearly all my chance, But I am making some extra- I hope you & C
are well.
I want you to get a bag of ?ham? & mead from Dawson. I ask him to let you have things & he said all ok. So if you want this get it I will send you some money
soon also if a letter come from paint man. I want to send him his money- I will get straight I hope & I shall remain here
I think so I can be near you & c. I am stopping at my cousins 618 Kenney St- You can write there I will get it much love for you & C. Many kisses.
