Dearest Sweet heart,
I guess you recevid my card by now. Sweet heart dear, as I sit here this morning at 1 o clock I am so blue I dont know what to do. I have just come home from Eliz. port, training for the fights New Years afternoon. I am tired and dissatisfied, Mother is cooking for Xmas and I am suppose to be sitting up With her to keep her Company but, thinking of you and what I had bought you for Xmas I am blue,

rember you, that if I am not sick from the fights. Just think to night we are playing basket ball and you wont be here as you were last Dec. 25th. So that I can enjoy Christmas better, we are playing at Long Branch Xmas night. We are taking a bus load down. Well dear heart The only thing I'll have to do is jump in bed. As I am tired & sleepy and I will be up two nights straight all night. Mother
