The County Convention to nominate county officers and to select delegates to the Congressional Convention to meet in Harrisonburg on the 5th of October next, met in the Court house on last Monday--Maj. Wm. M. Tate, Chairman. The Convention made the following nominations for county officers:
Treasurer--Charles T. Cochran,
County Clerk--Wm. A. Burnett,
Circuit Clerk--Joseph N. Ryan,
Commonwealth's Attorney--Jas. Bungardner,
Supt. Of the Poor--George W. Fauber,
Sheriff--Wm. L. Mowry,
Surveyor--Col. J.D. Lilley.

The following delegates were elected to represent this county in the Congressional Convention to meet in Harrisonburg on the 5th day of October:
