Bishop withdrew from the United Brethren Conference for their views on the destiny of the wicked. They explained that they believe that "the righteous only are immortal, whilst the wicked are annihilated at death." "Betwixt Swedenborgianism and this doctrine our community seems to have been kept in a fever of religious excitement during the last ten days."

Second week continued, His Honor, Judge King, on the Bench. Joseph Groff vs. Martin Inly's Adm'x. and Elizabeth Inly. Replevin for live stock and farming implements. Verdict for Plff., the Court reserving the point of law involved in the case.

John W. Barr and Christiana, his wife, in right of said Christiana vs. David Greenawalt. Action of Deft. on a promissory note. After a trial of two days, Judgment confessed for $2600.

The Chambersburg Building and Manufacturing Association vs. James King. Summons case in Assumpsit. Verdict for Plff. $82.48.

Daniel Light vs. W. W. Walker. Summons case in Assumpsit. Case settled and Deft. to pay the costs.

Elizabeth Breckenridge vs. Curtis McNeal. Ejectment. Verdict for Plaintiff.
