McDowell Sharpe for Additional Law Judge; B. F. Winger for State Legislature; Frederick Zollinger for Sheriff; W. S. Stenger for District Attorney; William S. McAllen for County Commissioner; Jacob R. Smith for Director of the Poor; William D. McKinstry for Auditor; Hugh Auld for County Surveyor. Resolutions were passed demanding restoration of the southern states to their rights under the constitution; respect for the rights of the states to regulate suffrage; restoration to the president of all constitutional powers; economy in government by reducing the army, abolishing the Freedmen's Bureau and punishing corruption; equal and impartial taxation. They also support Seymour for president.
