If Pennsylvanians "desire to see the soil of Pennsylvania made the battle field for the contending armies of the North and the South . . . then vote for Lincoln and all these things are likely to come about."

Ohio Carried by the Negroes
(Column 04)Summary: The Republican victory in Ohio was largely due to the fact that 14,000 blacks were allowed to vote. Claims that Douglas cannot gain the electoral vote of any state in the Union and wonders what he will do after the election.
